    One of the primary missions of the Tacoma Women's Sailing Association is to promote sailing education on and around Puget Sound. Volunteers donate time and equipment to teach a variety of classes. Most, but not all , of the instructors are women, and one of the objectives of the classes is to offer an environment that will be comfortable for sailors of all skill levels to learn more about the sport. YMTA will promote and support elementary, middle and high school programs and associated youth organizations in Washington State that provide maritime education, training and experiences for students.
