- Friends of Isle au Haut Lighthouse
Friends of Isle au Haut Lighthouse
Welcome to Isle au Haut, where our classic 1907 Victorian lighthouse guides you through a harbor rich in history and adventure. The Isle au Haut Lighthouse is best seen from the water, where the Isle au Haut mailboat passes within a hundred feet of the tower. Plying the thoroughfare alongside passenger schooners and the local island fishing fleet, the mail boat makes daily summer trips to both the Isle au Haut town landing and Duck Harbor, where you will find the wilderness section of Acadia National Park. A hiker’s paradise of primitive trails and panoramic views, the island is remarkably uncrowded, as no automobile ferry has ever landed here. Isle au Haut, Maine

- Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses
Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses
We were founded in 2001 as a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, and we are the stewards of two historic lighthouses near the mouth of the Piscataqua River: Whaleback Lighthouse in Kittery, Maine, and Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse in New Castle, New Hampshire. We invite you to join us in our mission to preserve these historic treasures. Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse (also known as Fort Point Lighthouse, New Castle Lighthouse and Fort Constitution Lighthouse) was first established in June 1771, making it the first light station north of Boston in the American colonies. Today's 48-foot tower was built in 1878.

- Maine Lighthouse Museum
Maine Lighthouse Museum
The mission of the Maine Lighthouse Museum is to educate the public regarding the long standing traditions, heroism and progress of America's Lighthouse and Lifesaving services and the United States Coast Guard through the conservation and interpretation of the nation's most significant collection of lighthouse and lifesaving artifacts. The Maine Lighthouse Museum (MLM) is the proud home of the largest collection of Fresnel lighthouse lenses and the most important landmark collection of lighthouse artifacts and Coast Guard memorabilia in the United States. The museum has just merged the spectacular lighthouse collection from the former Museum of Lighthouse History of Wells, ME with the MLM exhibits. The two collections are now on display and marvelously compliment each other. Rockland, Maine
