40 Mile Point Lighthouse
The main lighthouse structure models the Big Bay lighthouse which was being constructed simultaneously near Marquette in the Upper Peninsula. 40 Mile Point is a two-story duplex with a tower incorporated into the center of the side-wall facing Lake Huron. The county and the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse Society have been working to restore and preserve the entire site. The park is open year-round to the public. Rogers City, Michigan

Crisp Point Light Historical Society
Crisp Point was one of five Lake Superior U.S. Life-Saving Service Stations along the coast between Munising and Whitefish Point. It is located about fourteen miles west of Whitefish Point. It was built in 1875 and became operational in 1876 as Life Saving Station Number Ten, of the U.S. Life-Saving Service District 10 (it was later part of District 11) . Crisp Point inherited its name from one of the Life Saving Station keepers, an iron-willed boatman named Christopher Crisp. The other four Life-Saving Stations were Vermillion Point (now Vermilion), Two Heart River, Deer Park (formerly Sucker River Station and Muskallonge Lake Station) and Grand Marais. The Crisp Point Light Historical Society is a non-profit, charitable organization that has been formed to restore and preserve Crisp Point Lighthouse for ours and future generations to learn about and enjoy as a non-commercial historic attraction. DeTour Reef Lighthouse
Since 1847, a lighthouse has been located at DeTour Passage at the northwestern head of Lake Huron. Originally placed on shore at Point DeTour, Michigan, the Light was moved offshore to DeTour Reef in 1931. The Light marks the mouth of the St. Mary's River, which connects Lake Huron to Lake Superior. It is well known to ship captains and pleasure boaters who sail the upper Great Lakes. For generations the Light at DeTour Passage has provided a beacon for those vessels seeking the "Gateway to Superior". Drummond Island, Michigan

In 2010, the GSA, USCG and State of Michigan transferred the lighthouse and the rights to continue occupying the bottomlands to the City of Harbor Beach, and a very successful first season of tours began in 2011. Our tours are a first rate journey into the past and present, and our docent volunteers are well trained and organized. The lighthouse is restored to an early 20th century style, full of antique furnishings and other period pieces that approximate the lifestyle of a keeper and his family. Harbor Beach, Michigan

The home and separate tower were located on a three acre clearing hacked out of the dense wilderness. The Port Huron Museum preserves and illuminates the stories of Michigan and the Great Lakes, through the lives and experiences of local people. Offering the Huron Lightship Museum and the Coast Guard Cutter BRAMBLE Museum. The HURON was the last lightship on the Great Lakes when it was retired from active service in 1970. Fort Gratiot Lighthouse is Michigan's Oldest Lighthouse. Established in 1814, military Fort Gratiot, named after General Charles Gratiot, was established to guard the juncture of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. With a surge of vessel traffic on Lake Huron in the early 1800s, the need for a Light Station to guide vessels through the water way became very important. These lights guided ships into the fresh water delta once known as the Venice of America. If this maritime heritage on Lake St. Clair is to be saved, restoration efforts must continue. The Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse is located in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula, in the town of Gulliver, MI. It is operated by the Gulliver Historical Society, Inc., in cooperation with the Department of Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Division. Funded by the Society, monies are generated from State and Federal grants, private donations, fundraiser, memorials, gift shop sales, historic book sales and the "Adopt a Step and Brick Programs".
