Alex Thomson Racing was founded by British offshore sailor Alex Thomson in 2003 following his success in winning the Clipper Round the World Race and in doing so, becoming the youngest skipper to win a round-the-world yacht race. Alex has gone on to break multiple world records, as well as becoming the fastest Briton to sail solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world when he finished the Vendée Globe in 2017 in 74 days, 19 hours and 35 minutes. With a successful career on the water, Alex has turned his focus to sharing his unique knowledge, expertise and passion for the sport of offshore sailing, investing his time in individuals and projects across the world. Alex Thomson Racing have successfully managed Alex’s offshore sailing career for almost 20 years, and will continue to run, manage and support offshore sailing campaigns across the world

The Australian Sailing Team is the national representative Team for sailing and comprises some of the leading Olympic Class sailors in the world today. Australia enjoys a very proud history in Olympic Sailing, boasting many medal-winning sailing Olympians. Following a major review of the Olympic Sailing program a Gold Medal Plan was developed with the aim of returning Australia to our pre-eminent position as a leading Olympic sailing nation in the World. Fundamental to this strategy was the creation of the Australian Sailing Team as a semi-autonomous entity with a hard commercial edge and professional approach to winning multiple medals in Beijing in 2008 and beyond.

Paul Cayard was the first American skipper to win the Whitbread Round the World Race in 1998 on EF Language. Paul is a seven-time sailing world champion, a five-time America's Cup veteran and two-time Olympian. The Star World Championship in 1988 is Paul's most treasured prize. Cayard's accolades include election to the Sailing World Hall of Fame in 2002 and Rolex Yachtsman of the Year in 1998.

Gitana 13 crossed the finish line of La Route de l’Or, situated just off the infamous island of Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay, at 1707 (UT). After over 43 days 38 minutes at sea, including a forced five and a half day stand-by at Cape Horn, Lionel Lemonchois and his nine crew improved on the reference time held since 1998 by Yves Parlier and his men by 14 days 2 hours and 43 minutes. The maxi-catamaran in the colours of the LCF Rothschild Group covered the 14,000 miles, which separate New York from San Francisco at an average speed of 15.88 knots and thus set their first record time in their 2008 record campaign.

Mike Golding OBE is one of the world's most accomplished and successful offshore sailors. An IMOCA and FICO world champion, over two decades Mike has consistently achieved race winning performances in many of the most prestigious round the world and transoceanic races. In 1994 Mike sailed the 67ft yacht Group 4 solo around the world – establishing a new world record for the fastest singlehanded circumnavigation East to West.
