The race is divided into two legs. The outward leg from IJmuiden to Scarborough is 300 miles, the second leg brings us in 200 mile straight back from Scarborough to IJmuiden. The social events after both legs are renowned. In Scarborough the SYC is hosting a diner, and a trip to Whitby and hinterland by steam train is made (sailing schedule permitting), after the finish in IJmuiden the SYC sponsor Boyes is hosting an unsurpassable price giving in Hoorn.
