The A.P.B.A. is a not for profit organization which exists to control, govern & administer, formulate & enforce all racing & safety rules throughout Australia for competition between powerboats. It is an "association of associations", the affiliated member clubs are members of their respective State Councils, each with its own constitution. Discover Sailing offers a range of exciting activities, making it easy for people of all ages and abilities to get into sailing at clubs. Discover Sailing Days are FREE to attend at most local sailing clubs, who look forward to welcoming you and showing you how fun, safe, accessible, and affordable sailing is. Participating at a Discover Sailing Day is a fantastic way to have a great day out with your partner, friends, work colleagues or family at the club and even enjoy a short sail. A Discover Sailing Experience gives you the chance to enjoy a fun three hour sail for a minimal fee, without the technical elements of a course. Clubs offer the perfect platform and infrastructure to get you out on the water and discover sailing. Most clubs have a Discover Sailing Host who welcomes you to the club, answers any questions, and explains the various sailing activities that are available. There are nearly 400 clubs in Australia of different sizes offering the opportunity to participate, volunteer, or become a social member.
