The SYC was founded in 1964. It is based in the Olympic harbor in Kiel-Schilksee and currently has around 230 members who mainly sail the western Baltic Sea with their yachts. Regattas are just as much a part of the program as social gatherings. The Stollergrund regattas and the "Aeroe-Rund" regatta are very popular. In the past, the SYC hosted the "Bit Cup" for several years and organized the 3/4 tonner world championship in 1984 and the 2 tonner world championship in 1990. The annual Schlei meeting has now achieved cult status! If you are a sailor and are thinking of getting involved in a yacht club or moving your activities from another area to the Baltic Sea, please contact us. Kiel, Germany

The SRSV is a very special association. Not only our long club history, but also the close ties to the former boarding school and the specialty as a student club, separates us from the majority of sailing and rowing clubs in Schleswig-Holstein. It is always nice to see how old and young come together and how an interesting exchange, a unique cooperation and good sporting achievements come about. We hope that this will also be the case in the future and we are always happy to see new faces! Plöner See, Germany

We are a colorful mix of children, adolescents and the young at heart from 0 to don't know how old. Our youngest member is 0 years old, the oldest more than 80 years old. We have 170 members today. A good half of them are more or less active in sports. The majority of active athletes are children and adolescents aged 5 to 20 years. But the "old ones" are on the rise. More and more "alumni" as well as "new old ones" are discovering the sporting activity in this very interesting, mostly very funny, always sociable but - if you want - demanding all-round sport. For many years we have been an integral part of the German maritime all-around competition from Greifswald and it should continue like this. Greifswald, Germany

Segelclub Mainspitze
Mainspitze Sailing Club. The SCMsp was founded by 11 sailors on September 11, 1963 and entered in the register of associations at the Groß Gerau district court on September 2, 1964. At that time, the founders wanted not only to indulge in hiking sailing in their own area, but also to measure the sailing experience they had gained in the meantime on regattas of the surrounding clubs with others. However, this was only possible if you were a member of a DSV club yourself. In the meantime, the SCMsp has developed into a club with a considerable number of cruising and regatta sailors who can be found on the North and Baltic Seas, the IJsselmeer and the Mediterranean Sea, and on national and international regattas. The club now has a large number of its own boats and offers the opportunity to learn to sail, to expand knowledge in courses with appropriate exams, to exchange experiences or to compete with others in fair regattas. The SCMsp pays special attention to youth work, where once a month children and young people are taught sailing in theory and practice. Gustavsburg, Germany
