West Cork Sailing and Powerboating Centre was established as an Irish Sailing Association and Royal Yachting Association training centre in 1997. Soon afterwards Kayaking with the Seals was set up to give locals and passing tourists a chance to paddle in freedom within Adrigole Harbour and the colony of seals. Then we wanted to share our love of the incredible Irish Coastline and along came Live Aboard Sailing with Jessy of Adrigole. Home of The Round Ireland Yacht Race. Founded in 1950 the club currently has over three hundred members, racing in several classes including cruisers, wayfarers, 420's, lasers, toppers and mirrors. Racing for cruisers during the summer season is every Wednesday and Sunday, while racing for dinghies is held every Saturday afternoon and Thursday evenings.
