- YC Porto – Yate Clube do Porto
YC Porto – Yate Clube do Porto
On December 1, 1987, the Yate Clube do Porto was founded by a group of cruisers who wanted to create a new reference for sailing in the North of Portugal, with the best of experience and knowledge. Their main objectives were the practice of sailing on cruise ships and the development of the sport, seeking from an early age to promote the training of sailors, as well as the participation and organization in major sporting and cultural events in Portugal. It has organized numerous national and international deep-sea cruise sailing regattas, including several “Volta a Portugal à Vela”, “Match Racing” Championships (benefiting from its exceptional location for this modality), light sailing, and, every year, together with the Confraria do Vinho do Porto, it organizes the now traditional Rabelo Boat Regatta. We know how to welcome all sailors in port at Leixões. Currently, the Yate Clube do Porto has the largest fleet of Cruise Ships in the North of Portugal and continues to tread its path towards the growth of the sport and the training of new sailors through its Sailing Academy.
