Phoenix Yacht Club is a members’ club that owns and runs two yachts, based in the Solent at Gosport, which are used for Cruising, Racing and RYA training. Members pay a small annual membership fee and then pay for their sailing by the day. Whatever your level of experience, you will sail with other club members, so there is no need to fill the boat as you would with a charter. We are a club of around 150 members, ranging from people in their 20s to their 80s. We run a range of club sails from our base in Haslar Marina, Gosport; from single days on the Solent, to cross channel trips and extended cruises, where different crews join the boat for a week at a time as a relay. Our summer cruises have been all over Europe. Our Club-organised programme of extended cruises, racing and training is finalised each year in the autumn, and published on this site each year. The present site position was aquired in the early 1970's and the current clubhouse building was completed in 1984.
