Clear Lake Yacht Club (CLYC), located in Clear Lake, Iowa was founded in 1935 to promote pleasure and competitive sailing, for all ages. We are comprised of members from the US and international, all who enjoy Clear Lake and sailing. The CLYC sponsors a sailing school, long a backbone for learning sailing skills and bonding new friendships. OYC offers sailboat racing, a sailing school for juniors and social activities. Today's Okoboji Yacht Club has about 500 members and 65 registered sailboats. It hosts five classes of boats, the X, MC, C, Yngling and E boats. Club races are conducted on Saturday and Sunday mornings from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Rathbun Yacht Club is located in southern Iowa on Rathbun Lake (Buck Creek Marina).
