Today's Duluth Boat Club is a 501c3 nonprofit promoting watersports in the Twin Ports. The DBC supports existing watersports organizations through networking and collaboration. We help new watersports activities get started. The DBC is governed by a board of directors drawn from the rowing, sailing and paddling communities. The Duluth Boat Club is in the process of developing a Watersports Center on Park Point, which will house boats and equipment for the DSSA, various paddling programs, and Dragonboat training activities. The club shares modeling insights monthly and holds open model boating on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Weather willing, you can expect competitive sailing on the larger ponds, and a mix of sail and scale boats at the center pond. Members often run whatever they wish to haul to the pond. The fast electric boats run on the south pond. Come Sail with an active model boat group meeting for a variety of regattas including handicap racing. There is something for every sailor here. The Minnetonka Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadrons. We love Sail and Power Boating! The Minnetonka Power Squadron is part of USPS District 10, which serves Minnesota, Wisconsin and a portion of northeastern Iowa and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our Squadron's "base" of operations is Lake Minnetonka in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. From the Twin Cities, our Squadron Members enjoy a wide variety of inland boating: the Great Lakes, major rivers, and a multitude of small and large inland lakes. We've got it all within just a few hours of travel time. Each year, our Squadron, comprised of almost 250 members and their families, hosts and participates in numerous events focused on safe, family fun on the water.
