The Montserrat National Trust is one of the island's leading non-governmental organisations with a long history of involvement in local and regional environmental affairs. It was established as a non-profit statutory body under the Montserrat National Trust Ordinance and was charged with the responsibility of conservation, preservation and enhancement of the island's natural, historical and cultural resources and the promotion of public environmental awareness.
