The American Packrafting Association is an international association of paddlers dedicated to the conservation of wild rivers and wild places, promotion of packrafter safety and education, and preservation of packrafting opportunities on wild rivers and in wild places. The American Packrafting Association helps people experience safe, adventurous, and low-impact packrafting trips as a means to enhance our existence, freedom, and connection to the natural world. "Packrafting" is using a small, lightweight inflatable boat to do whatever you would do in a bigger boat. By "small" I mean generally one person. By "lightweight" I mean less than ten pounds - generally five pounds or less. By "whatever a bigger boat can do," I mean cross and float rivers, streams and lakes, even run rapids or cross saltwater bays and fjords. Packrafts come into their own during lightweight travel. A packraft fits in your rucksack, on your bicycle, in a duffle bag, even in a fanny pack, and yet it is a functional watercraft. ECORA is a network of outrigger canoe clubs spanning the Atlantic seaboard of the USA. Hawaiian outrigger canoe racing carries on globally in the rich culture and traditions of its birthplace. ECORA is a proud part of that history. Today ECORA thrives in nearly every coastal state from Maine to Florida, and welcomes interested paddlers to join an existing club or form a new one.

Promoting the sport of dragon boat from Maine to Virginia. We are the Eastern Regional Dragon Boat Association (ERDBA), a region of the United States Dragon Boat Federation (USDBF). The European Dragon Boat Federation is a Member of the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) and recognised by the IDBF as the specific Governing Body for Dragon Boating in Europe. The role of the EDBF is to develop the sport of Dragon Boat Racing, in its modern era, and to ensure that festival based Dragon Boating retains its traditions and remains a sport and recreation to be enjoyed at all levels, by as many people as possible. This the EDBF seeks to achieve without too many unnecessary rules and regulations or too much officialdom.

The Grand Canyon Private Boaters Association was established in 1996 to provide the self-outfitted boating public with an advocate and a clear voice seeking to achieve fair access for the non-commercial river runner in Grand Canyon and the rivers of the Colorado Plateau region; to actively work in support of Wilderness designation for Grand Canyon National Park; and to seek reform of the commercial river concession industry and other outfitter concessions on our public lands.

Based in Texas, and operated as our flagship program, Heroes on the Water serves all military personnel who have been wounded, injured or disabled while serving on active duty, in the reserves or national guard. The primary goal of the program is to assist these injured service members with their physical and mental recovery by introducing them to the therapeutic qualities of fishing from kayaks. The program allows the participants a chance to decompress from the stresses associated with combat and the physical rigors of rehabilitation. Participants enjoy these benefits while on guided fishing trips held at various locations around the country.

The IBCPC is an international organisation whose mandate is to encourage the establishment of breast cancer dragon boat teams, within the framework of participation and inclusiveness. We support the development of recreational dragon boat paddling as a contribution to a healthy lifestyle for those diagnosed with breast cancer. Christchurch, New Zealand

The IDBF is an international non-governmental, non-profit world organization for dragon boating and other paddle sport activities. WIth the objects of encouraging the development of the sport of Dragon Boat Racing and of maintaining its Asian cultural, historical and religious traditions and of strengthening the bonds of friendship that unite those who practice it, the International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) was founded on June 24th, 1991 in Hong Kong by the Governing Associations of Australia, the People's Republic of China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Norway, the Republic of Phillippines, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States. The IDBF is recognized by the Global Association of International Sport Federations (GAISF), formerly SportAccord, as the Full Member International Sports Federation (IF) specifically governing dragon boating on a world-wide basis.

The INTERNATIONAL RAFTING FEDERATION (IRF) is about bringing the world of rafting together so we can all benefit from our interaction. This interaction may involve anything from competing at the World Championship level to being part of a local grassroots event in your home town. Or it could be that once-in-a-lifetime experience of going on a commercial raft trip locally or around the world, whether it be for 1 hour or 16 days. The IRF is in the forefront of raft safety worldwide. Through our various courses and certifications, we can ensure a global standard of guides while continually evolving raft techniques to keep everyone safer. The IRF is also about the environment and conserving the rivers we raft. It’s about educating others–at the whether local whitewater park or from just above Lava Falls deep in the Grand Canyon. The IRF is about bringing rafters together, from the most experienced guide to the new enthusiasts on their first trip.

Originally the name of the federation was International Polynesian Canoe Federation (IPCF). Over the years it has become apparent that the term "Polynesian Canoe" did not take into account other Oceanian regions which can rightfully pretend to be also at the source of the outrigger canoe. This applied in particular to Melanesia and Micronesia. It has been discussed among the members of the federation what term could best reflect the designation of the canoe. The answer was evident and the members decided to adopt the name "Va'a" as the international designation for the outrigger canoe. Accordingly, the International Polynesian Canoe Federation (IPCF) was renamed "International Va'a Federation (IVF)". The League of Northwest Whitewater Racers is an all-volunteer group of paddlers in the Pacific Northwest. Under the auspices of the American Canoe Association, US Canoe&Kayak, and the Washington Kayak Club, the League organizes wildwater races and races and training clinics in whitewater slalom. Qajaq USA is the American Chapter of Qaannat Kattuffiat - the Greenland Kayak Association. We have members world-wide. Qajaq USA is one of only two affiliated "Qajaq" clubs outside of Greenland. Most "Qajaq" clubs are scattered among the small villages of Greenland and are a major impetus in keeping the local kayaking traditions alive. Qajaq USA is committed to supporting Qaannat Kattuffiat and their efforts to preserve, study and promote the traditions and techniques of Greenland kayaking while seeking to further the appreciation and development of Greenland-style kayaking in the United States.

Southeastern Regional Dragon Boat Association (SRDBA) is a 501(c)3 organization serving the dragon boat community in the Southeastern region of the United States, and a regional organization of the United States Dragon Boat Federation. The Region consists of the eight great states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The New England Canoe and Kayak Racing Association is an organization run by volunteers, dedicated to advancing the sport of canoe and kayak racing for paddlers of all skill levels. The United States Rafting Association (USRA) is the governing body of raft racing in the United States. It works with the International Rafting Federation and other national governing bodies throughout the world to make sure the United States is represented in international competition. The USRA also strives to promote the sport of raft racing in the United States from a local level to a national level. Teams selected through the National Championship Series represent the United States in international competition. The USRA continually strives to grow the sport within the USA.

USRowing is a nonprofit membership organization recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the national governing body for the sport of rowing in the United States. USRowing selects, trains and manages the teams that represent the U.S. in international competition including the world championships, Pan American Games and Olympics. The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association, Ltd. (WCHA) is a non-profit membership association devoted to preserving, studying, building, restoring, and using wood, wood-canvas, cedar strip and birchbark canoes, and to disseminating information about canoeing. The Wooden Canoe Heritage Association began 40 years ago in Madison, Wisconsin as a way to unite the wooden canoe community as well as to educate the general public about the beauty and history of these wonderful watercraft. The World Paddle Association (WPA) was launched in the spring of 2010 by two paddling enthusiasts who just wanted to see the sport grow in the proper direction. With the rapid growth of Stand Up Paddling and the need of direction and focus with this young sport we felt there was a need to assist in the rules and guidelines for the competitive SUP events in the United States. The ultimate goal of the WPA is to provide a global standard for competitive Stand Up Paddle events leading to better experiences for all parties involved. The WPA is all paddlers that give input and want to help in the future growth of all Stand Up Paddle sports.
