Whitewater paddlers and friends from diverse groups across Iowa have organized into a strong non-profit group, the Iowa Whitewater Coalition, to advocate for paddlesport activities in Iowa. The primary focus of the group seeks to reconnect the waterways specifically for safe whitewater kayaking, but to be inclusive of flatwater kayaking and other recreational boating.

Located just 37 short miles from the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro area, the Nishnabotna River gently flows through the lush green fields of Western Iowa. Our floats are based out of Botna Bend Park in Hancock, IA. We either take you up the river and have you float back down to Hancock, or start you from Hancock down to Oakland, where a shuttle will take you back to Hancock.
