The Central Basin Bass Club from North Olmsted, Ohio is dedicated to the development and advancement of our membership to regional, state, divisional and national level competitive fishing. We are associated with The Bass Federation (TBF) and FLW. The club was founded in 1994. Since then, our membership has continuously done well in regional and state run tournaments. Central Basin Bass Club hosts one of the largest open tournaments in Ohio on an annual basis. We call it our annual Benefit Tournament which is held normally on the third Sunday in October. The club donates a sizeable portion of the tournament entry fee to The Child Life & Education Department of MetroHealth Medical Center for use by their Pediatrics patients. The money is used to purchase materials for children to use while hospitalized. Food, prizes and good competition provide a fun and successful day. In 1984, a group of dedicated musky anglers got together and started this organization. The Central Ohio Chapter was organized at Columbus, Ohio on March 25th 1985. Since this humble beginning, our membership has continued to grow and our catch success has improved greatly due to sharing of information. We have a Kid’s Fishing Outing each year which is very popular with the kids and volunteers. We want to introduce fishing to as many children as we can and encourage family participation. Tournaments and outings are scheduled each season at Alum Creek and Clear Fork Lakes, plus other lakes that vary each year.

Welcome to the internet home of the Clear Fork River Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Founded in Michigan in 1959, Trout Unlimited today is a national non-profit organization with about 300,000 members and supporters dedicated to its mission. There are hundreds of chapters nationwide. The Clear Fork River Chapter is one of five chapters in Ohio with approximately 450 members. The chapter was formed in 1995 when the Ohio Division of Wildlife began stocking the Clear Fork River with Brown Trout. The Clear Fork River was our first Home Water. In 2005, the chapter teamed up with the City of Wooster to stock Apple Creek in Wooster’s Grosjean Park with rainbow and brown trout and has done so twice each year since then. The chapter conducts its fly fishing clinics on the creek, school kids release rainbow trout fingerlings into the stream that they raise in Trout in the Classroom program and yearly macroinvertebrate surveys are conducted. Apple Creek is our second Home Water. The nearby Lake Erie tributaries stocked by the Ohio DOW with steelhead trout constitute the last of our Home Waters. Wooster, Ohio

FHRRA is located off a spur of the Grand River in Fairport Harbor, Lake County, Ohio. The club is comprised of fishing enthusiasts and their families from the Northeast Ohio area. A non-profit organization chartered in 1980, FHRRA's charter is "Fishermen for Cleaner Waters". The club is involved in many community service functions, including the Annual Fairport Kids Fishing Derby, The Neighboring Outing, and Fairport Senior Citizens Center Fish Fry. Members of the club fish for a variety of species, including walleye, steelhead trout, perch, and small mouth bass. Most of the club members have powerboats, and 90% are launched from the club's three improved launch ramps. The club grounds also include 28 docks that are leased to club members each year. The Fishing Foundation (TFF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit. TFF was established in 2010 by long-time competitive angler Dennis Knowles, President of one of the oldest African-American bass fishing clubs in the country, North Coast Bass Anglers Association (NCBAA). After organizing a number of free fishing events for NCBBAA and seeing the enthusiastic response by adult and youth attendees, Knowles realized the need for an organization dedicated to enriching people's lives through the sport of fishing. As a non-profit organization, The Fishing Foundation offers individuals and community organizations, especially those in underserved communities, free fishing from shore in a safe, secure setting under supervised conditions. In addition, The Fishing Foundation offers affordable fishing opportunities for corporate clients and businesses. Before wetting a line, participants undergo training and education on fishing tactics, water safety and conservation, casting, fish habitat and handling.
